With iTunes on Windows - Brief description
Creating unique ringtones for iPhone
We can see step by step how to create a ringtone of up to 40 seconds from our mp3 music. The sounds created here can be set as ringtones, the shorter ones as text sounds and other notification sounds.
Step 1: Launch the latest version of iTunes on your computer. Then drag it in and find the mp3 file from which we want to make a ringtone for the iPhone. Click on it with the right mouse button, select the Song Info menu item,
Within this, select the Options tab in the pop-up window. Here, set the start point and stop values so that the selected piece of music is no longer than 40 seconds! be, or of course less than this as desired (if the start time is 0:00, i.e. we want to cut the track from the beginning, then do not tick it, but the end time must be ticked).
Press OK to save the setting . Now left-click on the track to select it. Then click on the File menu, select Convert in the drop-down menu , then select Create AAC version in the drop-down menu.
Step 2: Right-click on the newly created AAC (.m4a) track (40 seconds) in iTunes and select: Show in Windows Exploler.
Step 3: In the Windows folder that opens, right-click on Rename. Next to the name of the music, rewrite the .m4a part after the dot to .m4r.
Step 4: Connect the iPhone to the computer with a data cable. Then drag our .m4r music into the phone control window in iTunes. After that, you will see the new ringtone in the Tones section of iTunes, and it will also appear among the ringtones on the iPhone (no need to synchronize).
Step 5: Select and set our newly added ringtone on the phone. Ringtones can be found in the Settings, Sounds, Ringtone menu.
